GoMap Web is a tool that allows management and administration of your MapGuide site. With a web administration on interface, the site administrators can publish their geospatial information in a fast and secure way. The users can personalize the maps and interact with them through queries, reports, attribute searches, extract the data and analyse it.

GoMap Web is a solution that allows complete administration of the your web mapping applications. GoMap allows administrators to manage maps configured with the MapGuide Studio or Maestro and configure security and functionality available to end-users through the web graphic user interface.

Security and module management

• The Administrator console not only allows the management of user and groups access to maps available on the server, but also access to the information layers and their attribute data. It is then possible to grant access to a map to all users, but limit the rights to the information layers it’s composed of. It is no longer necessary to create several maps for all multiple user groups.
• GoMap lets the Administrator limit the access to attribute data coming from the database. Also, if the data source contains sensitive information, the administrator can protect it even though it is available to all authorized users.
• The Administrator can manage the modules which will be available to the different users. Therefore, a user can have access to fast searches while another can make complex queries on the data and extract the results whether they are tabular or geographic data.

Editable maps

The user can not only use an interactive legend, he can also add layers in a dynamic way to his map.

Queries and reports

This module allows both simple and complex queries on the database. It allows users to create filtered layers on the map as well as extract data in a GIS format file or an Excel, XML or CSV file.

Layers on demand

This module allows users to add to their map information layers available on the server or by web service, but that were not part of the original map.

Geocoding

The geocoding module allows users to locate information on the map only by specifying an address. It is also possible to launch multiple geocoding requests at once and obtain a list of geographical coordinates corresponding to addresses.

Fast searches

This feature allows one to configure simple searches by the owner’s name, by lot number, by address, etc.

Opened and customizable

GoMap is compatible with most web browsers and can be personalised accordingly to the clients needs.

GoMap uses FDO technology that allows it to connect to many sources of native geospatial data without data conversion.

Whichever GIS platform you use it with (ESRI, MapInfo, Autodesk or other); GoMap is a useful tool to publish your data in a secure and interactive way at a low cost.

Integration

This solution can be integrated with MapGuide Enterprise or MapGuide Open Source. GoMap can be used with different databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostGIS, MySQL, etc, and includes a web based administration interface.
