Job description

Relocation / travel requirements: Montreal - Quebec - Ottawa

The candidate will work under the project manager's supervision. He/She should be able to configure, integrate, rollout and install Autodesk and Open Source solutions. The candidate should also be able to train customers on the applications developed by Geomap as well as on Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map 3D, Autodesk MapGuide, etc.). Knowledge of Autodesk or similar technologies such as Geographic information systems (ESRI, MapInfo or others) is an asset.  

The candidate will join a project team to intall, configure GeomapGIS and Autodesk solutions, train customers and make product demonstrations. He/She will be required to create 3D models based on Autodesk's technologies as well as work in BIM projects. 

The candidate will have to interact with database management systems such as Oracle, PostGIS, MySQL Server and Access. He/She might have to manipulate data which originates from different geographic information systems or from computer-aided drafting platform.

The candidate should have a strong capability in learning and organizational skills. He or she should be bilingual, dynamic and show aptitudes in team work.

Essential -  Knowledge or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Essential - Strong capability to learn new technologies
Essential - Knowledge of Window's operating system
Essential - Knowledge of AutoCAD software
Asset - Knowledge of AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map and MapGuide
Asset - Knowledge of SGBO Oracle, SQL Server, PostGIS, MySQL and Access
Asset - Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) related concepts

General Criteria
Essential - Minimum of a professional DEC in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Geomatic or any other related field
Essential - Bilingual (French/English)
Essential - Own a car and be able to move about
Essential - Fast learner, resourceful, autonomous, organized and dynamic
Asset - 2 year experience or more

The candidate will work under the project manager's supervision. He/She should be able to develop, configure, integrate, rollout and install GIS and BIM applications.

Tasks
- Analyze and define the customer's needs
- Draw up technical specifications
- Develop WEB applications and/or "Desktop" which integrate different solutions (PHO, ASP .Net, Data basis, etc.)
- Draw up technical data
- Install and configure the solutions at our customer's offices
 
Particular Requirements
The candidate should have a strong capability at learning and should be autonomous. He/She should be dynamic and show aptitudes at team work.

The candidate will interact with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostGIS, etc. It is essential to master SQL. He/She will manipulate data originating from multiple Geographic information systems.

Knowledge of the following will be considered
- ASP.Net 2.0, 3.5
- C#, ASP .Net, AJAX, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON
- SQL Syntax, object-oriented programming

Understanding of the following are assets
- ExtJS
- MapGuide OpenSource\Enterprise, MapServer, OpenLayers, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server
- ArcGIS, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map 3D, MapInfo
- Oracle Spatial
- "Open Source" technologies
