The responsible for GIS at the city of St-Hyacinthe, M. Donald Corriveau, is delighted by this technological investment and this new step in the development of the geospatial system: «The improvement of the geospatial system will benefit our municipal services (public transport, urban planning, engineering, fire department and many more). I am convinced that the suggested changes will result in noticeable improvements for the city».
About the city of Saint-Hyacinthe
The city is part of the top 20 most inhabited cities in the province of Quebec with over 50 000 residents. It is known as an important administrative cluster within Montérégie. Located along the shore of the Yamaska River for over 260 years, it now covers over 189 sq. ft. following the 2002 merging and offers both urban and rural environments.
