The city of St-Hyacinthe replaces its GIS technologies

The city of Saint-Hyacinthe became one of the many users of the Geomap’s SIGim suite and will improve its technological process by replacing its current GIS system. The city will be equipped with a GIS solution that follows the market’s trends in order to optimize geospatial data publishing, add functionalities to manage its infrastructure networks and offer a wide variety of management tools to its Services, such as urban planning and public works.

The city of Bowling Green chooses GEOMAP’s GoMap

After a thorough evaluation of the available options, Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (BGMU), located in Kentucky, in the United States, has chosen the GoMap solution from GEOMAP GIS America to integrate all of its infrastructure management activities through a geographic information system (GIS).

Dollard-des-Ormeaux uses GoMap

The city of DDO uses GoMap’s office suite based on AutoCAD Map 3D and Autodesk MapGuide in order to provide users the ability to visualize graphic and alphanumeric information concerning graphic register, landed responsibilities, water work, sewer and street system, zoning and much more.

Real estate and asset management

LAUSD selects GEOMAP FM solution

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the largest school district in California and the 2nd largest in the United States, will use GEOMAP GIS America’s GEOMAP FM solution to integrate the management of its 14,000 buildings, 18,000 floors and 70,000,000 sq. ft.

Conveyance management

The CN undertakes a project of Geolocation /Geomarketing

CN’s eBusiness group enlisted Geomap’s "Geolocation/ Geomarketing» services in order to publish their railroad tracks and stations across North America. In total, 72 000 segments of railroad tracks are published over Google Maps. From a technological standpoint, the project uses state-of-the-art solutions available in web mapping and represents a simple but effective and promising technological orientation in the addition of geospatial components to websites (web mapping).

The Fench state chooses GEOMAP to manage its roads

Following an invitation to tender thrown by the Ministry of Ecology, of Energy, of Sustainable development and of Town and country planning (MEEDDAT) of the French Republic, the road’s general directorate chose GEOMAP GIS’ software for road management (edited by the society GEOMAP) as a development base to the future information system to manage France’s national road network. This system is intended for the Ministry’s road services and especially the Interdepartmental Directions of Roads (DIR).

GEOMAP develops the management system for CP Railway

The geographic information system project granted to GEOMAP contains two items:

GEOMAP plots Quebec’s Ministry of Tranport route chart

GEOMAP GIS Amérique developed Quebec’s Ministry of transport route chart on the Web for Montreal’s territorial management.

Network and telecommunication management

The CSEM uses the GEOMAP TELCO solution

The “Commission des Services Électriques de Montréal (CSEM)” has chosen GEOMAP GIS, and more specifically the Telecommunication Network Management module , to accomplishing their mandate which consist of “planning, conceiving, building, servicing and exploiting a network of underground conduits for electrical and telecommunication distribution purposes on the Island on Montreal”. GEOMAP TELCO and Autodesk MapGuide will allow the CSEM's clients to access, through a secure web site, information on conduits and structures to better maintain and plan their network exploitation.

Government

The MAMROT announces its new SIGAT Geo

To redesign its existing web portal SIGAT Geo, the Ministère des Affaires Municipales, des Régions et de l’Aménagement du Territoire (MAMROT) has chosen a combination of the following technologies: Geomap GIS, Safe Software, Oracle and some Open Source components. This project’s objective was the modernization of data exchanges through the web, as well as the publishing of geographical information.

GEOMAP builds Environnement Canada’s application

GEOMAP received the mandate to develop an application to manage the environmental emergencies for the area of Quebec and also a profile to manage Saint-Laurent River’s shell zones.

Alcan chooses GEOMAP GIS for a solution to manage berges

GEOMAP developed a geomatics web application in HTML/ASP integrating API Autodesk MapGuide and GEOMAP GIS to manage rental leases and the follow-up of Lac St-Jean’s berges.

The Quebec Local Chapter of OSGeo is proud to announce the first edition of Rendez-vous OSGeo Quebec which will to take place in Saguenay, Quebec, on June 15-16, 2010. The date of the event also coincides with the second anniversary of the local chapter which was created following a meeting at the same location in June of 2008.
